Woody Harrelson

Born in Midland, Texas Woody spent his childhood in Lebanon, Ohio. As a student of Hanover College in Indiana, he received degrees in Theatre Arts and English. His career began with Neil Simon's Biloxi Blues as an understudy in New York Theatre.

In 1982 he was cast as Woody on Cheers, a hit TV series at the time. Woody found it difficult to make the move to films, due to conflicts with his TV schedule.  The first movie he appeared in was Wildcats with Goldie Hawn in 1986. His next movie, four years later, Cool Blue was released directly to video. Two uncredited cameos followed.

His first popular movie role was in Doc Hollywood in 1991. In 1992 Woody became a box-office hit in White Men Can't Jump, with Wesley Snipes. Indecent Proposal and Natural Born Killers were his next two hit movies. Woody Harrelson has 3 daughters and lives with his former assistant, Laura Louie.
