Woody Harrelson

Born in Midland, Texas Woody spent his childhood in Lebanon, Ohio. As a student of Hanover College in Indiana, he received degrees in Theatre Arts and English. His career began with Neil Simon's Biloxi Blues as an understudy in New York Theatre.

In 1982 he was cast as Woody on Cheers, a hit TV series at the time. Woody found it difficult to make the move to films, due to conflicts with his TV schedule.  The first movie he appeared in was Wildcats with Goldie Hawn in 1986. His next movie, four years later, Cool Blue was released directly to video. Two uncredited cameos followed.

His first popular movie role was in Doc Hollywood in 1991. In 1992 Woody became a box-office hit in White Men Can't Jump, with Wesley Snipes. Indecent Proposal and Natural Born Killers were his next two hit movies. Woody Harrelson has 3 daughters and lives with his former assistant, Laura Louie.

Newark. Cory Booker tries again. The mayor points to a second term

Today Cory Booker will probably re-elected for the second time mayor of Newark.
The campaign has been almost totally monopolized by him.
Without better with rivals or opposition by the weak figure of magistrate Clifford Minor, it can be said that Booker is the strong mayor chair.
Already in the 2006 elections, 72% of the votes carried him to victory.
In the today's the difference with the four rival candidates is more evident.
According to the figures, Booker ends his campaign at a cost of 7.5 million dollars, while his rival, Minor, just 300.000.
Half of the funding for the campaign come from external sponsors.
These include major names in the film as Steven Spilberg, Barbara Streisand, and even Oprah Winfrey.
The Booker campaign manager, Pablo Fonseca, said that the Election Day was made available to a team of 2,000 people recruited to monitor the results and gather information on voting when voters will be out of the seats.
Minor has instead its just a group of 500 volunteers.
The topics discussed during the campaign were focused on Booker achieved excellent results regarding safety (with 21% of criminalitàin less), the creation of new parks and green spaces and increasing employment through the creation of new companies .
The magistrate Minor pointed the finger at Booker risollevaere being incapable of being the city's economy and also never managed to build a relationship of trust with its citizens.
"I am not satisfied with what he did, I think Booker lacks a real connection with the residents," said the man.
What relevance, Minor can count on the African American community, Booker never close, while the latter will have its Hispanic community, according to recent census, the city grew by 32.5%.

Socialist Francois Hollande wins French presidency

PARIS - France turns the page. The new president is a socialist Francois Hollande. According to official results reached 51.7% of the vote, Nicolas Sarkozy won 48.3%.
